MYNATE
As suits the Yokohama Museum of Art, located in a city with an important port, MYNATE, the name of this shop, is pronounced minato, which means “port” in Japanese. MY is, of course, “my” or, by extension, “our,” and NATE is derived from the Latin for “born”—“born in our port city, Yokohama.”
MYNATE is a shop filled with books and Yokohama’s native culture. It offers Yokohama Museum of Art original items, plus products by artists, companies, and creators working in Yokohama. Here, enjoy Yokohama culture through MYNATE’s selection of a rich variety of works with regional flair. And don’t overlook the products developed in conjunction with our exhibitions.
