Yokohama Museum of Art (Yokohama Arts Foundation) Privacy Policy

The Museum has established the following basic policy, and all staff members of the Museum understand and comply with this policy in order to manage all personal information in the Museum’s possession.

To manage personal information, the Museum will appoint a personal information protection manager and establish the organizational structure necessary for management. In addition, we maintain transparency in the management of personal information by appointing a separate contact person for inquiries and a separate person in charge of supervision.

3. Purpose and Scope of Collection and Use of Personal Information, and Deletion and Correction of Personal Information

When collecting personal information, we will notify you in advance of the purpose of collection, the method of use, and the contact person for inquiries, and will collect personal information only to the extent necessary. Personal information will be used only within the scope for which consent was obtained at the time of collection and will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it was collected. In the event that a visitor’s personal information changes (e.g., change of address), or if the visitor wishes to have his/her personal information deleted, the Museum will correct, update, or delete the personal information provided by the visitor.

4. Collection of personal information by outsourcing

When the Museum is entrusted with information processing services that involve the provision of personal information, it will follow the stipulations regarding the maintenance of confidentiality of personal information, matters related to re-consignment, sharing of responsibility in case of accidents, return and deletion of personal information at the end of the contract, and other related matters.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information

Personal information provided by visitors will not be disclosed to third parties, except with the consent of the visitor or when there is a legitimate reason, such as when required by law. In the event that the processing of personal information is entrusted to a third party, the Museum will do so under strict control, contractually obligate the third party to avoid accidental information leaks, and expressly forbid the providing of personal information to third parties. Any inquiries sent us via e-mail or through our inquiry form may be forwarded to the relevant department of the City of Yokohama or an affiliated organization depending on the content of the inquiry and the necessary handling or response.

6. Security Measures

The Museum implements strict security measures to protect personal information received from visitors from various threats, and continuously reviews its systems to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, destruction, leakage, and alteration of information. At the same time, we will strive to protect the privacy of visitors on the human side through ongoing informational training for our staff.
