Tahi Saihate (b. 1986) is a poet whose accolades include the Gendaishi Techo Prize, the Nakahara Chuya Prize and the Hanatsubaki Award for Contemporary Poetry.
Her language-centered creative practice spans a diverse range of expressions. In recent years, she has actively participated in art exhibitions, and has been exploring ways to incorporate the spatial environment into the presentation of poetry.
This exhibition, which marks Saihate’s first solo outing in a museum, will showcase new installations that illustrate a key focus of her creations: allowing the poetry and the viewers to mutually interact and resonate. We hope that you will come and enjoy this exhibition of Saihate's words, which jolt our perceptions of everyday life with their keen sensibility.
