Timed-entry tickets for the Sato Masahiko Exhibition

August 7, 2025

Planning to visit this exhibition?

To ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all visitors to the “Sato Masahiko Exhibition: new × (way of making + way of understanding),” a timed-entry ticket system was introduced on Saturday, July 12.

We request that all visitors to the Sato Masahiko Exhibition make a reservation online for a specific date and time before arriving at the museum. That applies to children of elementary school age or younger and to anyone who has already purchased online tickets without a timed entry, who is planning to do so, who is eligible for free admission, or who has invitation tickets.

A timed-entry ticket is not required for those wishing to visit the Collection Exhibition, including the Opening Dialogues exhibition. Please purchase a Collection Exhibition ticket at the ticket office.

Timed-entry tickets

Please purchase or make a reservation on the ART PASS online ticket site .

  • Timed-entry tickets for specific dates and times will be available for purchase and reservation until the end of the exhibition period, November 3 (Monday, a national holiday).
  • You can change the time and date of your reservation up to three times.
  • You must present the QR code for the timed-entry ticket you purchased or reserved when you arrive at the museum.
  • Weekends, holidays, and the end of the exhibition period are particularly crowded. Please purchase your ticket well in advance to visit at one of those times.
  • The time slot you purchased or reserved determines when you can enter the museum. There is no restriction on when you must leave the museum.
  • Please reserve only the number of tickets you actually need, so that as many others as possible can enjoy the exhibition.

Having trouble making a timed-entry ticket reservation?

If you come to the museum without a timed-entry ticket reservation, you may be able to enter by buying a same-day ticket for an available time slot. Those tickets are limited in number.

We will offer same-day tickets for the nearest time slot that has openings. The number of tickets available, however, will be limited, and they may be sold out.

Please be aware that if tickets are sold out, you will not be able to enter the exhibition.

For people who have a timed-entry ticket reservation

You will not be able to enter the exhibition until the start of the time slot for your timed-entry reservation.

Since space in the museum is limited, we ask that you wait in a comfortable place outside the museum until you can enter.

It is also possible for you to view the Collection Exhibition, including the Opening Dialogues exhibition, before your time slot. We appreciate your cooperation.
