Education Project

Yokohama Museum of Art is closed for renovation from March 1, 2021.
The Museum is scheduled to reopen in fiscal 2023. 

Education Project was launched in 2012 with the aim of providing visitors with opportunities to have more diverse experiences at the museum and at a deeper level, particularly concerning the appreciation of art. The project organizes education programs and workshops in order to help visitors more fully appreciate the art works in each themed exhibition and in the museum collection. The project’s activities also include the development of human resources in the art world, such as by inviting volunteers to conduct gallery tours, accepting museum trainees and internships. The project aims to create a museum which makes people happy, by providing a venue for citizens to gather and voluntarily become involved in the museum’s activities while learning about art and individual art works.
